Kolkata-based punk-rock act, The Supersonics, were in Pune on Thursday as part of the NH7 Roadkill Tour. This was the band’s first gig in the city after their recently got together after a hiatus of two years. The last time they had performed in Pune, it was at Hard Rock Café itself. The turn out was dismissal, on-stage amps conked off along with a request for a cover song. Thankfully, everyone including the diners had a good enough time to ask for an encore. The hour and a half set-list included tracks off their debut album, Maby Baking, and a bunch of new material that they had first played at the Puma Loves Vinyl gig in Mumbai last month.
Before the gig, we had spoken to them about the tour and their work-in-progress second album (read here).
