It’s cake day. And we bet you, people swear by the cake we get for our anniversary. Same cake, for the last 4 years. God bless the meanest chocolate rum cake in the city. That’s if you count Nigdi to be part of Pune, since Baker’s Hut is in that area.
Venue: High Spirits, Next to ABC Farms, Mundhwa Road, Koregaon Park
Date & Time: 26th July ‘12, 7pm
(Please, RSVP here.)
And so, this marks four years of our existence. Four years of amazing (and at times unfortunate) food, music, books, arts, theatre and films. Four years of working with people who’ve been dedicated to and passionate about the same things as we’ve been. For it takes more than just saying “Oh, I’m a foodie!” to write week on week, about the newest of restaurants and hunting for the best grilled liver in the remotest of corners. Or for that matter, be it books or music.
Last year, we started the weekend guides. We’ve been doing our best to send them out every Friday morning. We’ve done 38 editions so far.
Towards the end of the last year, we wanted to experiment a bit. That resulted in the print magazine about the eight best chefs in the city – For the Love of Food, that we put out in June this year. We never had planned for a second issue. But we’ve got people asking “When’s the next issue coming?” Guess we can manage to pull off another issue.
But it comes down to this, for my team and me – who have been doing this just because we love doing it and obviously, ultimately helps you be part of new experiences – none of this would’ve been possible if it weren’t for your support.
For this very reason, we’ve got you that cake we mentioned about. Be there on time. People are known to have fifth helpings of the cake. See you!
