1st February (Wednesday): Songwriter Wednesday at Swig
This Wednesday, Swig promises to present a musical evening to remember. Yohan Marshall (Pondichery), a prodigious young drummer from the Swarnabhoomi Academy of Music takes the stage this time with his acoustic guitar and vocals. Pune’s Shreyas & Gandhaar will be doing an experimental duo set with wailing guitar sounds as well as Gandhaar on the Indian flute with floating melodies. Pune’s Mark Raj will also be present, playing stuff from his first debut album Soulmangel. He will also be accompanied by Arthur on percussion and Sajib on bass for few tracks.

It is time to go back to the dance floor a little earlier this week as the weekend comes to you on a Wednesday with DJ Yusuf playing some beats for the crowd! Hipnotribe is a pop-rock band from Mumbai, formed in 2008 by brothers Naresh and Paresh Kamath. The band comprises of sessions musicians from the Mumbai circuit and frequently includes multi-instrumentalist Sankarshan ‘Shanks’ Kini and drummer Kurt Peters.

3rd February (Friday): High Big Gigs Presents Kundalini Airport
Kundalini Airport is a Goa-based ethnic-fusion band, with rock, reggae, Indian classical, Middle-east & African influences.The lyrics explore the eastern traditions of devotional music: Hindu, Sufi or Buddhist. The band includes Paco on the Sitar, Vocals and Compositions, Ori Balak on the Drums, Nicolas Lafargue on the Bass, Iftach Harari on the Didjereedoo and Julien Di Maiolo on the Tabla.

4th February (Saturday): Indian Ocean live at Hard Rock Cafe, Pune
This Saturday, Hard Rock Cafe invites you to Indian Ocean Live as a part of the MTV Unplugged. Indian Ocean is a contemporary fusion music band from New Delhi and the name behind cult status albums like Kandisa, Black Friday & Jhini. The band, comprising of Sushmit Sen, the late Asheem Chakraborty, Amit Kilam and Rahul Ram dates its genesis back in 1990. Indian Ocean has performed at various concerts in India and abroad and has had the opportunity to play with renowned international names in music.

4th February (Saturday): DJ Nawed Khan Live at The Ship
Nawed Khan is one of the biggest international DJs to have emerged from India. A resident at Submerge, Bombay’s only dedicated House and underground night, promoted by MTV’s Nikhil Chinapa and at Club Pulse Dubai. Being an internet Junkie with DJ friends across the globe, Nawed has constantly stayed ahead of the slow paced music scene in India by acquiring and playing brand new tunes and almost impossible to obtain mixes of classics.
