Foster’s threw a pool-side party this Sunday and had invited a small group party-goers and booze lovers. One of the hottest venues these days in Pune, the Club Solaris at Riverview, KP was host to the event. The beer company had called in a few Aussie hotties, decked them in swimsuits and sponsored towels and they had the place ready for some eye candy.
DJ Tally and DJ Lokesh belted out some nice trance and electronic. I’m guessing they were Australian tracks, but hey as long as it was good music! For a change I liked the music the DJ was playing, which hasn’t been quite the scene these days, where the DJ usually goes for public choice.
As people started pouring in, the waiters had some nice barbecue doing the rounds of the pool. Right off the coal we had prawns, lamb, fish and chicken including tofu and potatoes for the veggies. Booze was one the house and for us teetotalers they had fresh coconut water and cold drinks.

People sourcing food and beer from the counters.
They made sure that a varied group attended the party. Apart from the young crowd who hit the discs on a regular basis, we even had some seniors too swaying to the music and enjoying their swigs from the beer cans. Spotted among the crowd were sisters Alina and Sana Wadiwalla, painter Soketu Parikh, Siddharth (from Splitsvilla) and TV anchor Amrit Maghera.
As one could see, Foster’s is making a run for their money. With finally facing competition from Carlsberg, the brand is losing on its premium market; it is set to regain that market. They might have again lost some market due to the recent racial attacks against Indian students in Australia. Rather than calling in the media, they have taken to digital PR and called in Indiblogger to send in their local bloggers. They are having similar parties around the country. Last we heard were in Mumbai and Delhi.
Looking at the way the party went, we’re pretty sure Foster’s will be back with a bang throughout the nation. So let’s hope the art of chilling remains with Foster’s and we get to have the lip smacking food and warm up our eyes with the cute Indian girls.
Cheers to Foster’s.
