IPL Uncertainity: KKR and MI Finalists for Next Season?

"Cricket is a game of great uncertainties," said a very wise man. However, when making that statement, the gentleman had not witnessed a T20 game as it was still years until the format was invented. What would he have said had he witnessed the second season of IPL? "In all certainty, cricket thy name is uncertainty" maybe. But, lets give the gentleman a break and analyse the sensational season of IPL that we all witnessed.
The IPL 2 was a season of great upsets, in fact the season was greatly upsetting for the fans of Kolkatta Knight Riders. This year, the tables turned, hats changed heads and the underdogs had their days. Indeed, Deccan Chargers and Royal Challengers Bangalore, who finished winners and runners up this season finished last and second last respectively last season. Still there is one thing common between the two IPL winning teams, the commonality being the winning captains are both retired Australian Cricketers.
The rejuvenated DC and RCB after the dismal first season saw a change of guard with Adam Gilchrist taking charge of DC from Laxman and RCB’s Anil Kumble from Rahul Dravid. The KKR also did the same thing by handing over the reins to McCullum but with disastrous results! There is a moral for Mr Buchanan in this: "Just change in captaincy doesn’t make a difference but picking a good captain does."
Well, as we wait for a year for the next season of IPL, dare I make a prediction that the finalists next time around will be Kolkata Knight Riders and Mumbai Indians, only that it’ll be Mumbai Indians who will lift the trophy.
