Last year Dell had introduced the Studio line of laptops, hoping to bring a change in how customers look at customization. And along with that they launched the Dell Design Studio, from where Studio customers could select from around 120 laptop lid arts designed by renowned artists across the globe. After the Studio 15 and Studio 14, Dell even pulled in the XPS range under the Studio line for giving the higher-end customers the same artistic choices.
Engagdet yesterday mentioned that Dell had brought in another 120 designs by artists like Deanne Cheuk, Maya Hayuk, Jason Holley, Peter Stevens, etc. A new way to browse through the designs also made its way.
Each design will cost the customer $85. (PRODUCT) RED designs include a contribution of $20 to the Global Fund which is an initiative by Bono and Bobby Shriver.
Users can also share their picks on various social networks including Facebook, MySpace and Twitter.
Check out the designs at the Design Studio and say this was built for me.
Note: Unfortunately, the Design Studio is not available in India. So those dying to lay their hands on these beauties, can probably ask their relatives to get it [or something similar].
