Bling It On...

bling Bling It On... Gold has become dearer in the most literal sense. With the deep diving SENSEX, gold prices on the rise, gold is much more expensive, but that doesn’t seem to stop people from buying more and more gold. More particularly with the shaadi season, the party scene on the rise and the festive season in full swing, the bling is back in style. Apart from the purchase of gold, even junk jewellery in shades of gold, bronze and copper have made a huge come back. They are the best to accessorize to give the total glam effects for a perfect evening out and the best part is it goes with all shades and prints. This is where the solid black and absolutely plain black clothes accompanied with bling win the race this party season. But the bling is not restricted to accessories alone. Even clothes in hues of copper, bronze and gold steal the show; be it Indian, western, casual, funky or classy. Another lesser known fact about gold. Did you know or have you ever noticed how the color of yellow gold varies with the maker. For example, the shade of gold by a Marathi jeweler is very different from gold from Punjabi or Bengali jewellery shops. I have first hand experience at this, I wear a number of rings from different places and all have a different shade of yellow!
